This ASX listed company is one of Australia's largest public companies with over 100,000 employees across the country. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as a Payroll Advisor initially in a standalone role processing the payroll in a timely and accurate manner whilst maintaining the integrity of the HR database. Reporting to the Remuneration Manager the duties of this role will include: - Payroll for over 700 employees
- Processing weekly and monthly payrolls as assigned in an accurate and timely manner
- Accurately managing allowances, deductions, benefits, novated leases and superannuation
- Maintaining standard operating procedures and management of relevant awards / agreements
- Creating continual improvements in payroll processes and efficiency of systems
- Maintaining the employee personal record filing system and integrity of the database
- Ensuring compliance to relevant legislation, company policy, audit requirements and procedures
- Providing excellent customer service and handling payroll related queries
- Compliance with statutory reporting such as payroll tax, PAYG, withholding tax, ABS, workers compensation, superannuation and Centrelink
- Providing monthly reports including leave liability, costing, head count, contract expiry and casuals not worked
- Payment summaries and end of year reconciliations
- Printing and distribution of pay slips
- Ad hoc payroll duties
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes and experience: - Ability to function in a standalone payroll position
- Experience in Chris21 highly regarded
- 4+ years payroll experience in a large organisation
- Excellent time management skills
- Award interpretation
- Strong customer service orientation
