The job: The primary function of this role is to provide technical leadership in the delivery of Windows, storage and VMWare services. Strong focus on delivering maximum service availability through the optimal operation of the available IT infrastructure. In this role you will provide design and architecture leadership of our Windows server and related infrastructure while also helping manage the day to day operation of the MYOB technology environment. The Person: A broad commercial IT knowledge is required however the successful applicant will be a Windows server product matter expert and have excellent skills in managing SAN storage, ideally Clariion based arrays. Possessing strong technical skills, an ability to learn quickly, with good analysis skills, you will be the go to person for these environments within the business. You will also have developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills, which will be exercised when imparting information, educating fellow team members and other business stakeholders. The skills and experience required: You will be an experienced Windows Systems Administrator and possess preferably 3 to 5 + years worth of work related experience in this area. Administration experience on Windows server systems in an enterprise / commercial business environment is required and experience with backup & recovery products (ie EMC Networker) greatly desired. Skills will include: * 5 years Systems experience on Windows server with the following systems and technologies * Microsoft Cluster * Active Directory * IIS * .NET * Terminal Server * At least 5 years experience in storage and virtualisation technologies * Storage Area Networks (preferably FC and ISCSI) * Large storage arrays (preferably EMC Clariion Storage Arrays) * Virtual server environments (preferably VMware) Knowledge of the following is an advantage but not essential: * Backup software (preferably EMC Networker) * File servers (preferably NT, 2000, XP) * Mail server ( MS Exchange) * Networking equipment (preferably Cisco) * Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning MYOB is dedicated to making it easier to run a great business.
