Our client, a leading global IT outsourcer and business solutions provider, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Linux Systems Administrator. The role is based in Macquarie Park and will be a permanent position.

The role will entail the day to day support and some server build work.

The skills required for this role are;

Able to document and review client's existing production and DR build and develop technical recovery procedures.
Good communication and documentation skills
Proactive, strategic thinker
Customer consultative skills
Strong knowledge level of Linux (RedHat)
Linux environment: Installing, Configuring, Patching, Building and Maintaining RedHat Servers.
Good Knowledge of Unix (Solaris) and associated tools
Knowledge of Enterprise backup solutions and communications
Thorough understanding of server hardware and peripherals, including SAN and RAID arrays
Managing the trouble ticket queue,
Responding to proactive monitoring alerts,
Executing change controls,
Performance monitoring and tuning,
System diagnostics.
Systems administration experience 5 years
Excellent communication skills
