On a day-to-day basis this role reports to the IT Director and will provide support to the systems and network requirements of the organisation and its users. This includes responding to open trouble tickets escalated from the help desk, investigating and resolving messaging systems issues, installing new systems and network components, and managing systems and network issues. Key responsibilities: - Network and server support in troubleshooting network connectivity and network computing resource problems
- Managing and maintaining the infrastructure;
- Active Directory administration
- Working with regional network engineers to help manage Firewall and switch configuration and management;
- Provide network support in troubleshooting system and network problems
- Maintain documentation of the IT environment both local and in branch offices
- Log and maintain accurate support ticket logs and time sheets.
- Enforce internal systems, policy and procedures to ensure the highest levels of efficiency and quality of service is provided.
- Contribute to the achievement of delivery and productivity targets.
- Maintain anti-virus software and security patch updates for PCs and Servers
- Monitor and report on system and network performance issues
- Maintain Asset management procedures by ensuring asset tags and details are recorded in line in the corporate IT policy
- Helping to manage Software Licensing and application distribution
- Provide onsite and remote support for internal media applications and SOE approved software packages
Key requirements: - Relevant tertiary qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of MS Office (all versions), Windows Server (all versions), Windows XP (and previous Windows versions); Active Directory, IIS, File Systems Management
- In-depth knowledge of current desktop and mobile computing technology
- In-depth knowledge of Computer Hardware, SAN Storage, and Clustering
- Knowledge of core business applications and their operation
- In-depth knowledge of systems architectures and information security practices
- Knowledge of media business and marketplace trends highly regarded
