Our client, a leading transport company with over 30 years experience specialising in both local and interstate deliveries, is seeking a Branch Manager to lead the newly created Sydney depot.
With an excellent safety record, our client is an Accredited Fatigue Management company that prides itself on driver safety being a priority whilst still delivering on time.
Due to continued growth, they are in the process of securing new premises in either the Glendenning or Arndell Park locations where you may be the new depot manager.
As the Branch Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing a small pool of casual and contract drivers
- Day to day depot running
- Customer service and sales
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Data entry of consignment notes into the computer
- Staff inductions
- General administration and audits
- Overseeing general depot health and safety
- Some relief driving when required
The successful candidate will have experience in all the above tasks, along with having:
- A minimum HR license and clean driving record
- Accurate and good data entry and computer skills
- Excellent people management and motivational skills
- At least two years working history in the transport industry
- A strong commitment to occupational health and safety
