As one of the world's leading suppliers of measurement technologies to mining and construction industries our client is experiencing continued growth.Given QLD's resources boom, they currently have a vacancy for a Field Services Engineer / Application Engineer (Engineering Degree not required) This role will be primarily involved with the following:
- Undertaking field based (up to 5 days) Weight and Volumetric/Density Studies where consistent liaison with mine staff, contractors, surveyors and logistics staff is required
- Assisting in the Research and Development of field based measurement systems
The company is seeking a 'hands on' person who has excellent communication skills, ability to problem solve and good understanding of MS Office (Word/Excel). Ability to deal with clients and be the 'face' of the business is very important. Candidates with a technical background in either mechanical, electrical or instrument fitter trades will be looked upon favourably.
